Kristin's Wedding - May, 2010

I designed this gown for Kristin for her Spring wedding last year. Working with her was a delight - she was incredibly patient and easy going, and I think we were both pleased with the final product of her gown.

This dress is 100% Dutchess Satin silk and the linking is 100% China Silk. The top was draped, and the skirt is a-line, and I hand-made covered buttons for the back of the gown. The gown has a medium sized train, a sash at the waist (made out of the same Dutchess Satin silk). The fabric was cut on the bias which gave it more flow/drape and allowed it to hug the body nicely, without the extra bulk.

The veil is a simple floor-length piece to not distract from the details of the gown.

  1. Oh! The sea-green color looks so refreshing! I think I am going to tell all the bridesmaids to wear this color, I know they will love it. Thanks for the idea. My wedding is by the end of this year in one of the Los Angeles event venues and I am very excited about it.
